"Last night (10/21/10), Brian Williams on NBC's Nightly News reported that, at a time when the Crystal Cathedral in California is filing for bankruptcy, 9% of American Protestants now attend only house church. This is an estimated 6-12 million people."

The headline is a little misleading. The research survey said 9% of American Protestants, not 9% of Americans, now attend only house church. I’ve got nothing against house churches, but I see my friends who are involved with them becoming increasingly hostile towards those in traditional churches.
Thanks for the clarification as you are correct about the headline. Sorry that you have experienced hostile house-churchers. My hope would be that the Body of Christ would continue to love one another while embracing a variety of expressions.
Hey Roger, NBC says that the 9% was based on a Pew Research Forum study, but I can’t find it anyway on their website. Have you come across any links to the data?
