In June I wrote about the need for discipleship to focus entirely on Jesus rather than "Jesus +" the many religious behaviors/customs/theologies that often become part of the "package." In keeping with this theme I wanted to point to Alan Hirsch's post entitled: "Jesus is my disequilibrium." Alan writes: "Why do we need to constantly reboot back to Jesus? It seems to me that the problem is that his people have a nasty habit of pushing Jesus out of his own community. Of displacing him."
You can read Alan's post here.

One response to “Re-Boot to Jesus”
Thank you Rodger for pointing me to this post. It was good, and a friend I have been praying for was walking by my desk at lunch while I was reading it and it opened up an opportunity to have a short conversation about it. He too is interested in God but not church.
Thanks again.
