In one crisis-ridden area of Northern Nigeria, the following simple document is releasing the church to catch fire in the midst of persecution. Even militant Muslims are finding the simple joy of finding and following Christ.
The document:
Within this framework the church is free to be about the business of prayer, helping others, and sharing the stories of Scripture with others. Perhaps it really is that simple!

Hey Roger. always enjoy your posts. It would be good to catch up again soon! I’d love to hear more about this situation and how this simple graphic is being an encouragement ion this region. Is this something you are directly involved with or something you read about? Thanks as always!
Let’s catch up! We trained a guy in this region of Nigeria whom I only refer to as ‘J’ for security reasons. He works in a challenging region where persecution, killing, and kidnapping of Christians is common. He is good at taking key concepts, like this graphic, and putting it in a format where it is easy to pass along.
Hospitality is instructed many times, and is a requirement of those seen as mature ones.
Romans 12:13 “Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality”
When believers meet in homes, this instruction is automatic and an example set every week for everyone to imitate. Thus house to house demonstrates that many are imitating the example of spiritual leaders.
Meeting in homes keeps the family units together so those who are godly parents are teaching by example those who are not so mature parents. Teaching by example is FAR more powerful than teach only with words.
Our IDENTITY is that we are members of God’s family and “brothers and sisters”. A home is a perfect meeting place to practice spiritual family relationship. Alternative location dilute and often eliminate most of these benefits. Institution practice is a TRAGIC substitute for family practice.
YES!! 🙂
